Wednesday, October 16, 2013 Official launch of Diktamen in UK and Ireland
T-Pro are pleased to announce that following an agreement with our new software partner, we are launching the Diktamen digital dictation system at the HISI 20th November event, in Dublin.
Developed as part of the Scandinavian health eco system and with market dominance across Finland and Sweden, Diktamen demonstrates a leap forward in the way hospital documentation is produced.

The key to Diktamen's success is that it provides a full workflow solution. This means that T-Pro would be able to facilitate the dictating of notes and letters by Dr’s, the transcription of those files either in house or by our own medical transcriptionists and the upload of documents to your existing electronic patient records, all from a secure, hosted and managed platform.
By implementing Diktamen, hospitals are able to take control of there costs. The in system reporting and clear stats means that hospitals can utilise 100%of their internal capacity and also have the flexibility to outsource dictations where necessary.

It’s good value
-
Easy to install, use and maintain – no major IT resources required to install and can be rolled out across a hospital in a matter of days.
-
Can be used in-house and/or to outsource overflows – this means that hospitals can always use 100% of their typing capacity, but any overflow or backlog will be dealt with by T-Pro's in country typists. (In addition, the administration functions will allow you to directly compare the cost, accuracy and speed of outsourced and in-house work)
-
Integrates with EPR’s – system can be integrated directly with existing systems without extra cost or the need to involve vendors.
Dictation
We offer a variety of options when it comes to dictation. These include traditional handheld and desktop devices, smartphone applications and Telephony. Telephony is particularly popular with larger hospitals as it means there is no need to buy or maintain any hardware. Dr’s simply pick up the nearest phone or call directly from their mobile and dictate.
Transcription
Administrator accounts can manage the flow of dictations to transcribers, who have easy access to jobs based on speciality. If work builds up, sickness or holidays mean that hospital staff are unable to keep up with demand, T-Pro has Irish medical secretaries available to pick up any overflow. This means that hospitals can ensure that they are maximising their staffing capacity without worrying about backlogs. Direct comparisons can also be draw between in-house and outsourced work allowing the hospital to clearly see where savings can be made.
EPR’s
The upload of documents to patient records is a process that is easily automated. This can often be done within 48 hours and doesn't require the input or often high costs of the software vendor.
Costs
Unlike other dictation systems, hardware costs are little to none. All IT infrastucture is purchased and maintained by T-Pro. Consequently there is no need for internal IT resources whose time and salaries are often a large portion of the costs associated with implementing digital dictation. Hospitals simply pay a maintenance fee for the software based on the number of users (users can be added or removed at any stage and there are very good value site licences available to ensure costs are kept to a minimum). Outsourced transcription is then priced on a per line basis and demonstrates further significant cost savings.
